Bella,

Going through my own roller coaster of ups and downs with doctors has made me really appreciate the ones who are sensitive not only to the patient's physical needs but also their psychological needs.  I wonder if some of these idiots would sit by passively if information of this nature was callously delivered to them or someone they loved.

Those who are idiots in the delivery tend to make me distrustful of anything they say beyond that.  I may be wrong, but those who are caring and sensitive seem to evoke an immediate trust on my part. IMO, delivering devastating news in a kind and caring manner is the only way to go.

I'm sending caring thoughts and positive vibes to your friends.

AMEN!!!!! I can only hope that their approach comes back to them someday. I can't believe how callous Doctors are, and haughty about it too! Like you're bothering them with your little problem. How many times have Doctors dismissed people based on "well, it's probably just in your head"...That is crud!

Since Doctors are unable to talk to sick people and their families, then keep them in the back and send a councilor in their place.
