Does anyone have experience with switching out your wood burning fireplace to gas?  I don't know whether you just call it getting gas logs or call it getting a gas insert, but I'm looking to do that and my thoughts tell me to get the vented not ventless.

When I burn wood logs in the fireplace now, the heat and smoke goes straight up the chimney so what would be the difference in getting gas logs and have the same thing happen?  My HVAC guy tells me I want the ventless because the heat will be maintained in the room, not go up the chimney.  He said I won't use it enough to cause a CO problem, plus I have a CO detector in that room and other CO detectors on each floor.

Anyone have experience with making the switch or with having a gas fireplace in your house when you bought it?  I soon have to make a decision cuz I'm about to burn up the last of my wood.

Life will be as it ever was, mean all that it ever meant. You are you, I am I, we are we.

It will be a hard ride; I will be loving you.

Oh lawdy, LeRoy had the northwest market, did he?   Lots of Laughs   I don't think my husband could hiny burp unless I was there to smell it.  Once - yes, I'm sorry to say I fell for it once - he said to me, quick, get under the covers, I'm about to spit straight up!  Well, he didn't.  He had a 'present' waiting for me under the sheets and being under the sheets, the present wasn't a 'gun in his pocket.'  Rolleyes  Thanks for conjuring a memory, Kahuna!  Lick
