Thinking of you, of Marty, and of the full moon on your 38th wedding anniversary , Jo.  I hope the sky over your head tonight is clear as a bell and that you dance on your balcony under its silvery light - it is my belief that you won't be alone under the same silvery moon.

The Same Moon
Phil Collins

When the daylight comes and I look across the room,
I see you're gone.
ss the morning breaks and I reach to hold your hand
I can see, see I'm the only one.
well, your clothes are gone and your bags are packed
but the bed's still warm where you lay
now I need your love to come shining through
to carry me, come carry me away.

If you choose a time, I'll catch the moon
I'll see you there
from wherever I am, wherever you are
we'll find somewhere.
I see the same stars in the same sky
shining down on you,
I'll be looking up from wherever I am
and it's you I'll see if you're looking too.

There'll be days that'll seem much longer,
some nights will seem so cold,
and it's gotta come soon - please don't be too long,
don't be too long.

If you choose a time, we can catch the moon
I'll see you there
whenever it is, from wherever you are
oh we'll find, yes we'll find somewhere.
are you looking at the same moon?

Here's to you, here's to Marty, and here's to your shared love!   Champagne Champagne Champagne

There are Phil Collins' solo versions of this lovely song out there, but a duet seemed best for this, your anniversary.

thank you everyone! Beautiful song Branch! - the same moon, my mom used to say that no matter where we were we were looking at the same moon.  (sigh)
It's a good day today!  I will be hanging out with that moon this evening!

Thanks Kim!  Thanks DP!  yeah, well, got through, doing OK!  Missing my dh more than ever as I try to embark on new experiences, new things!  But - he's not here.  so, that's the reality.  I can really feel his arms around me, I can recall so much, but, still, he's not here.  I have to do this - whatever this is.........., I have to do this on my own,  I do have his love with me, I have his trust, his belief in my abilities, his never ending confidence in me, but still.., he's not here, not the way he was - here.  (big sigh)   So, I have to do this on my own, with the gifts he gave me, with his love for me, with my love for him - which will never disappear, never go away, but still, on my own now.

Sorry i missed your anniversary. But you know you are always in my thoughts on full moons.

But - he's not here.  so, that's the reality.  I can really feel his arms around me, I can recall so much, but, still, he's not here.

Reminds me of an Evanescence song, My Immortal: but though you're still with me, I've been alone all along. My daughter gave me a digital frame the first Christmas after LeRoy died. It has pictures of our last summer together and My Immortal is the song. I can surely say that I cried listening and watching it hundreds of times. And when my electric power goes out, and that is quite often, it turns itself on. I know what you mean, Jo. Hug
