Issue - Computer Jumps Around

The bad news is bad, but I understand not knowing how to fix it. SMF does not work as well with IE (Internet Explorer) as it does with FF (Firefox) just as other sites do not work as well with FF and they do with IE, and even then, sometimes it's application and option sensitive within the same site.
We'll keep looking for a fix, but I cannot promise we will find one because I'm afraid it will mean custom code and custom code present a whole other set of problems when SMF issues upgrades (where to insert the custom code can vary when the SMF software is upgraded). If anyone wants to install Firefox, here's a link to the US download page.
My apologies to our IE users; I know there are many of you.

Hey, it's not a perfect world. To be honest with you, I thought it was some sort of a "governer" built in to the software to keep us from rambling and using up too much space. For those of us with IE, we'll just have to choose our words carefully or type as if we're atop a pogo stick.
Seeing how we're on technical issues, when I'm in the reply window and I get red carded, how do I bounce over to read the new post and then get back to my "in progress" post? And secondly, I don't know if this is an IE issue or unique to just me, but I cannot change the font style or color, either. Oh, aren't you glad you opened this can of worms?

OK, now I've upgraded the forum to the latest and greatest release, and only suffered minor damage as a result. (The forum did not come back up gracefully, but I wrestled it into submission)
It probably didn't fix the problem, but it needed doing.

Yup, still jumps around with IE8, and not with Firefox.
Back to the drawing board.
