There are several semi-private forums on this board. Participation in these forums is by request. We do this for several reasons. First, there are some forums in which participation by a group of users would not be appropriate. For example, Men will not be able to read or post in the Women's forum, and, of course, vice versa. Participation in the Gay and Lesbian forum will be limited to those who are actually Gay or Lesbian. This allows a certain amount of privacy and sanctuary to those participants for whom the forum is useful.
All forums are moderated. If, at any time, the moderators feel that a user has inappropriately requested participation, that user will be suspended until the matter can be privately resolved. For the greater good, if we're going to err, we prefer to do it on the side of caution.
To participate in a semi-private forum, please send an email to
admin@griefsjourney.com stating your username and the forum in which you wish to participate. Please allow up to 48 hours for the administrators to add you to the correct user group. Once your username is added to the user group, the forum will appear the next time you log in.

Women's Forum - A forum for Female members only
Men's Forum - A forum for Male members only
Gay and Lesbian Forum - A forum for Gay and Lesbian members only
New Relationships - The discussion of new relationships
Committed Relationships - A forum for those who have re-entered into a committed relationship
The Water Cooler - Take a break in the Water Cooler. Here you can chat about off-topic interests (politics, policy, breaking news, etc.).

Scheduled Discussions - our version of a real time interactive on line grief support group. Future plans for the Schedule Discussions include hosting sessions with guest speakers, such as bereavement authors, mediums, social workers, therapists, and the like.
Central Perk - the section which is home to our
GJ Book Club and our lighthearted
Humor forums.
Stuff - our mixed bag forum called such
'cause we don't know what else to call it.As forums are added, this list will be updated.
